Amazon Prime Day – unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you probably know it’s Monday and Tuesday, July 16-17, and you can sign up for a free trial. No big deal – its just the second biggest cyber shopping day of the interwebs! (They say it even rivals Black Friday!)
According to Consumer Reports, Amazon Prime Day offers “more than one million deals exclusively for Prime members around the world,” as well as some select deals at U.S. Whole Foods stores, which it now owns.
Just so you know – the links I’m about to share with you are my affiliate links. If you happen to purchase through them, it doesn’t cost any more than if you go straight to Amazon, and I will receive a small compensation. (Hey – it keeps the lights on and the blog rolling – which is always nice.)
Wait – what? You’re not on Amazon Prime? Oh, girlfriend. Get thee hence (you can sign up here for a free trial).
Hubby and I have had Prime for years now and we wouldn’t go back for anything. Here’s why:
Why be an Amazon Prime Member (and get in on Amazon Prime day)?
1.) You can shop Amazon Prime Day (duh)
2.) Free shipping
3.) You can cancel any time (even after Amazon Prime Day ends)
4.) New members who download and use the Amazon Prime App for the first time will receive a $10 free credit to spend on Amazon.
5.) Amazon’s Prime Free Same-Day and Prime Free One-Day delivery is now available in more than 8,000 cities and towns, and Amazon plans to make the services available in more areas.
6.) Swift, two-day delivery
7.) Video streaming
8.) Free neighborhood grocery delivery within 2 hours
9.) Music streaming
10.) Kindle book lending
11.) Amazon cloud storage
12.) Early deals from Amazon Prime Day!
My top 10 picks for Amazon Prime Day
1.) Amazon Echo Show ($100.00 off NOW through Monday – now $129.99)
Watch video flash briefings, Amazon Video content, see music lyrics, security cameras, photos, weather forecasts, to-do and shopping lists, browse and listen to Audible audiobooks, and more. All hands-free! Now I really think I need this, don’t ya’ll? It would go nicely on my desk, thank you very much.
2.) Pretty slipcovers for my cozy corner office chair
So I have this cozy glider we purchased to nurse my third baby in (who, by the way, is now 24 years old). This chair has been covered in snot, breast milk, and syrup from an unwise storage placement in a U-Haul truck on one of our moves (AHEM, hubby). It’s time to give it new life!
3.) Ottlite Revive LED desk light
I want to use blue and turquois hues. I love this lamp and it FAR outclasses my current cheap white one with the nozzle neck.
4.) Letter board
I am forever seeing cute letter boards on Instagram and being all like, “Why don’t I have one of these yet?!” So, yeah. Also I LOVE the white distressed look on the border!
5.) Kindle paperwhite
I live and die by my kindle. It goes everywhere with me. However, I cannot read it outside by the pool because it’s shiny. (And pool time is of PRIME importance, ya’ll. See what I did there?!) Hence, the paperwhite. I also want this cover – you can wake or put your paperwhite to sleep with it! (Plus – it’s blue.) 🙂
6.) Canon PIXMA TR8520 Wireless Home photo Office All-In-One Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax: Airprint and Google Cloud Compatible, Black
7.) Dry erase days/times of the week board
Because I get all geeky on this stuff.
8.) This amazingly cute circular fan in vintage green
9.) Scott living grey/blue area rug
You’ve heard of the Property Brothers, right? Well, they have a new line ON AMAZON. That’s right. And number 10 is on my wishlist.
10.) Scott Living Montgomery couch and accent chair
I may or may not be able to stuff this in my office. But just LOOK AT IT!!!
You may not need office gear, but chances are, you need SOMETHING and Amazon Prime Day is the perfect day to get it! Go here to sign up and be ready for Monday (or even get in on the early deals)!
