Do you wish you knew what you were doing in this parenting gig? Are you floundering with discipline and frustrated because you’re not sure what actions to take next? Is motherhood so overwhelming that you’re drowning in a sea of doubt?
Are you tired of your own, less than stellar reactions to your family? Don’t you just wish someone could tell you WHAT to do with your 5-year-old’s lack of motivation to do what he’s told, or your teen who doesn’t respect a word you say? What about that toddler – the one who WILL NOT potty train for you?
Your reactions in each of these instances can make or break how your children respect, listen to, and communicate with you.
Hi, I’m Ruthie, and I’m a mom of four adults who used to be toddlers, pre-schoolers, and teens. My surprise that these children didn’t come with a manual was evident in my parenting skills. I floundered, cried, and threw my own temper tantrums.
However, I quickly gained wisdom for problem solving skills as I read parenting books, picked the brains of more seasoned mothers, and asked the Lord for wisdom.
God blessed those efforts. The problems – although the didn’t go away – became easier. I became more confident in my parenting. I made strides towards decision making skills in the heat of the moment (read: discipline and/or guidance of my children-quickly-becoming teens).
Other moms began picking MY brain. My family grew up and grew close with one another, as well as their dad and I.
I had discovered the secret to successful parenting.
Today, my children are all in their twenties and thriving independently. Although not perfect (nor am I), the core values of a strong family have been not only passed down, but owned and evidenced in their lives.
And I’m ready to show you how to do this too.
If you are tired of wondering how to react when your kid throws a tantrum, how to get your children to obey when asked, and how to get them to actually listen to you all while building deep and lasting relationships with them, then this is the space for you!
