Father, Your Word says if I lack wisdom, I can ask You because You give generously to all without reproach,
and it will be given me. Help me to always rejoice because You are near. Help me not to be anxious about
anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let You know my requests. Because
then, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will be a garrison around my heart and mind in
Christ Jesus.
James 1:5 , Philippians 4:4, 6-7, ESV
Hey there, mama!
How’d you go this week? I’d LOVE to know! Shoot me an email here for prayer or bouncing ideas off of!
Today I’m sharing 2 tips to keep your mind clutter-free throughout the year!
1.) Commit your new habits to prayer
I encourage you to commit your new routine to the Lord in earnest prayer.
Try for 5-10 minutes, 5 times a week at first. God communes with you when you actively talk with Him. Prayer keeps you centered on what God has given you to accomplish for Him (and cut out)!
I often get on my knees for concentrated prayer time. Why? Because it’s uncomfortable and keeps me focused!
While we are to be in an attitude of prayer all day, committed, earnest prayer makes a huge difference in our lives.
Prayer is a powerful weapon! God’s Word says we have everything we need to live godly and holy lives and that includes continual as well as extended access to the throne.
2.) Share your plan
If you haven’t yet, share your new habits with your family! Why?
Because they won’t understand or respect your schedule, your goals, or the things you’ve cut if you don’t tell them!
ADDED BONUS: the accountability will keep your mind spring-cleaned even after the season has passed!
Share with your family and close friends your new commitment to cut down on technology and “good” (but not best) activities. Get accountable with a trusted believer for victory over your “pet” sin. And above all, tap into The Ultimate Source of power with prayer.
