“Nice to meet you!” That’s what you’re supposed to say when you’re introduced, right? People say it all the time. Do we always mean it? Probably not. But for the sake of manners, we convey the expression.
What if it was really nice to meet every single person you ever met? Can you imagine what a world we would live in? Pleasant, to say the least.
I want people to be happy they met me.
How can I do that? How can I be a difference in someone’s life?
Salt and light, people.
A warm smile, a genuine compliment, a personal connection of some sort. Looking that person in the eye and letting them know – you care.
It may be the only chance you get to ever show that person your light.
“Let your light shine!” My friend Mary always says. She means no matter where, no matter when, no matter what.
In the grocery checkout. At the beauty shop. In the school parking lot.
“Let me make my mark on people for you, Jesus. Let them be glad they met me in order to see you. I’m just the introduction. The person they’re really meeting is You.”
