Father, only through You do I have divine power to destroy strongholds. I have the power to destroy arguments
and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
You have said that if I ask you anything in Your name, You will do it. Please take all my thoughts captive in
Jesus’ name.
Hi, mama – I’m so glad you’re here! Let’s get ready to spring clean our minds this week!
Here are 3 quick wins to make space for peace, clarity, and time for your family.
1.) Spring clean your mind of technology
Let’s face it – technology sucks up our “real time”. Pick one or all of these suggestions and by Friday you’ll recognize your mind-wasters!
*Remove notifications from your phone
*Remove Facebook, Instagram, or email, Words With Friends, Snapchat, or any distracting aps from your phone
*Limit your time on your phone/ipad/PC to certain times of day
2.) Spring clean your mind of pet sins
Perhaps you’ve been struggling with jealousy, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, or ____________ (fill in the blank). It’s time to clear out!
Schedule time to pray the Scripture prayer at the top of this page each day, and spend a few minutes in the Word (possibly drawing from saved technology time). And pray without ceasing!
You need time with God to gain freedom from pet mind sins!
3. Spring clean your mind of over-commitment
Jot down three activities and pick one to take off your plate. Ask yourself these questions, rating on a scale of 1-5:
*How important is this in light of eternity?
*Does this contribute to or detract from my main ministry (family) at this time in my life?
*Does it lend more stress than good to my mental state?
Follow these three steps and you will be thinking more clearly by the end of the week!
Cut WAY down on technology – it consumes “real life”! Ask God to bring to light sins you’ve been harboring. And lastly, take some “good things” off your plate! Remove distractions from the MAIN thing – glorifying God in what we’ve been called to do.
Ok, mama, let’s get to spring cleaning our minds – I’ll see you back here on Fri-yay! 🙂
